A new tip claims that the Xiaomi 17 series will be unveiled at the end of the month.
The news follows several revelations of the brand involving the lineup’s models, including the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, both of which boast rear displays.
Tonight, Xiaomi president Lu Weibing is set to host a livestream to answer some questions about the series, including its moniker. The launch date of the lineup could also be revealed in the livestream, but a new leak already claims that it will be on September 30.
The series is expected to include the Xiaomi 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max, which would house 7000mAh, 6300mAh, and 7500mAh batteries, respectively. The entire series will also support 100W charging and use the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip.
The Pro and Pro Max are reportedly sharing similarities in their camera systems, but the latter is expected to get a better telephoto unit. According to a leak, the Pro model boasts a triple 50MP Leica camera setup with a 50MP f/1.67 main camera, a 17mm ultrawide, and an f3.0 115mm telephoto unit with a 5X optical zoom. The Pro Max model is also said to house the same main and ultrawide Leica camera units. However, the variant is rumored to have a better telephoto with a wider f/2.6 aperture.
