Xiaomi India announced that the Xiaomi 17 will be unveiled in the Indian market soon.
The Xiaomi 17 series is now available in China, and it is an instant success. According to the company, the lineup achieved a first-day sales record within its first five minutes in the market, and the Pro Max model is now out of stock due to high demand.
Now, Xiaomi India’s CMO flaunted the Xiaomi 17 model during the Snapdragon Summit, confirming that the model will soon be offered in the market. If the company’s past actions are any indication, it could take months before the global version of the Xiaomi 17 comes to the international market. To recall, the Xiaomi 15 series was launched in China in October 2024, while its global launch happened in March 2025 at MWC in Barcelona, Spain.
Sadly, it remains unknown which series models will arrive in India and other markets outside China. Since not all the Xiaomi 15 models have reached global markets, the same thing could happen in the Xiaomi 17 series. According to some reports, the Pro and Pro Max, which both boast new rear secondary displays, will remain exclusive to China.
