Realme confirmed its partnership with Ricoh. According to the Chinese company, this collaboration should enable the Realme GT 8 Pro to deliver powerful street photography features.
According to Realme, it took four years to finalize everything about this partnership. Despite this long period, the smartphone maker ensures that the teamwork has successfully introduced great upgrades in its creations, especially the upcoming GT 8 Pro model. In addition to the hardware, the said device adopted other technologies from the Japanese brand. As Realme suggested, this should make the phone the perfect street photography smartphone in the market.
“Through extensive customizations between realme and RICOH GR’s R&D teams, the GT 8 Pro offers an unprecedented imaging experience, achieving groundbreaking innovations in optical capabilities, color algorithms, imaging tones, and a tailor-made UI design that mimics the feel of a RICOH GR camera,” Realme shared.
According to earlier reports, the Realme GT 8 Pro will feature a flat 2K 144Hz 10bit LTPO BOE OLED, a 7000mAh battery, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, an R1 gaming graphics chip, Android 16-based Realme UI 6, and 120W charging. It is also expected to arrive with an IP69 rating, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, better haptics, and a trio of camera lenses (50MP LYT-808 1/1.4″ main camera with OIS + 50MP JN5 ultrawide + 200MP 1/1.56″ HP5 periscope telephoto with telemacro). The GT 8 series will be unveiled by the end of the month. The Pro model, on the other hand, is rumored to debut between November 10 and 12, which is earlier than anticipated. The brand reportedly wants to launch its device earlier than the OnePlus 15 in order to be the first Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 smartphone in India.
