A massive leak reveals the design and camera lens specifications of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra.
The Xiaomi 17 series is already in China and is set to launch in the global markets soon. The lineup is also expected to welcome the additional Ultra model when the series debuts internationally. Amid the wait for the brand’s announcement, the device was featured in a recent leak, which revealed its design. While the phone is housed in a photography kit case, which comes in silver and black colorways, its camera module is visible. According to the images, the device still has the same circular camera island.
However, instead of the earlier rumored quad-camera setup, the photos show that there would only be three camera lenses on the back. In line with this, the leak says that the three cameras could use the 50MP OVX10500U for the main unit, the 200MP S5KHPE for telephoto, and 50MP OV50M or 50MP S5KJN5 for the ultrawide. The selfie camera, on the other hand, could arrive with a 50MP OV50M lens.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra is expected to be unveiled this December. It is rumored to feature UWB support, a 6800mAh battery, an upgraded flash, and a Leica logo. In China, the phone is also said to support direct communication through Tiantong-1 and Beidou satellites. Other details expected from the phone include its Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
