A new leak circulating in China reveals the design of the alleged Xiaomi 17 Air model, which was canceled due to an issue.
Thin smartphone models are a current trend in the market. In addition to the iPhone 17 Air, we also welcomed the Moto X70 Air, Huawei Mate 70 Air, and more. Xiaomi was reportedly planning to release its own version, but it was later canceled.
While the phone will no longer see the light of day, the purported live prototype unit of the handheld emerged online. According to the images, the phone features a horizontal rectangular camera module with rounded corners. Inside it are two circular cutouts for the camera lenses. The phone’s back frame is flat, but the side frames have slight curves. It also appears to have a white colorway.
According to earlier reports, the Xiaomi 17 Air would have had a 6.59″ display, a 5.5mm thickness, and a battery starting at a 5000mAh capacity. According to tipsters, the Chinese giant scrapped the project due to the poor market performance of Air products, with Apple and Samsung reportedly experiencing low sales of their Air devices.
