New details about the Huawei Pura 90 Ultra model have emerged, providing insight into the premium phone’s camera and design.
The Huawei Pura 80 series debuted in June 2025 and went global a month later. According to rumors, the brand will present the lineup’s successor in May. As the timeline approaches, new leaks about the Ultra model have surfaced.
It includes the design of the handheld. According to the leaked layout, the phone will have the same triangular camera module as its predecessor, but it will now be housed inside a horizontal rectangular island.
The back of the phone also appears to be loaded with lenses. According to a tipster, it will feature a 50MP main camera with a 1″ lens and a variable aperture. It will be paired with a 200MP 22nm SmartSens SCC80XS telephoto. To compare, the Pura 80 Ultra has a 50MP main camera with OIS (f/1.6-f/4.0), a 50MP telephoto featuring sensor shift image stabilization with 3.7x optical zoom, a 12.5MP telephoto with sensor-shift anti-shake and 9.4x optical zoom, a 40MP ultrawide, and a Red Maple sensor.
Other details expected from the Huawei Pura 90 Ultra are a Kirin 9030 Pro chip, a 3D face recognition technology, and HarmonyOS 6.1. To recall, its predecessor has the following:
