Vivo confirms iQOO 15 Ultra’s Q3 gaming chip, Ice Dome Air Cooling tech

New details about the iQOO 15 Ultra have further affirmed its position as a gaming-focused device.

The iQOO model is coming on February 4. The brand has been teasing the device for the past few days to underscore its gaming capabilities. Now, it is back to reveal that it houses its in-house Q3 gaming chip, which will enable the phone to allow 2K native upscaling, 120fps interpolation, and full-scenario max ray tracing. The component is said to be complemented by the Ice Dome Air Cooling System, which will offer an effective active cooling solution.

The brand also earlier announced that the phone boasts anti-sweat shoulder triggers, giving users a console-like experience for faster reaction times in action games. According to the company, the triggers will be touch-sensitive, offer haptic feedback, and use a 600Hz sampling rate. The phone is also expected to house a cooling fan system placed next to its camera island. It is rumored to measure 17mm in diameter and 4mm in thickness.

In addition to a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, the handheld is believed to be coming with a 6.85″ 2K 144Hz LTPO OLED with Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide tech and an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, a triple 50MP camera setup with a Sony IMX882 periscope unit with 3x optical zoom, a 7000mAh+ battery, and 200W wired and wireless charging support. The device will be offered in 2077 Streamer Orange and 2049 Cold Blue colors.
