According to a leaker, there will be a special Xiaomi 18 Ultra variant powered by the brand’s own Xring O3 chip.
Last year, the Chinese brand surprised the world with the release of the Xiaomi 15S Pro, a variant of the Xiaomi 15 Pro. However, instead of a Snapdragon 8 Elite, the phone arrived with the company’s Xring O1 chip.

While the phone with the said SoC didn’t make it to the global market, it is still impressive that a smartphone manufacturer can produce its own chip.
Now, according to a new leak, the brand is planning to upgrade the chip to Xring O3, which will feature cores with the following clock speeds: 4.05GHz Prime cores, 3.43GHz Titanium cores, and 3.02GHz Litttle cores.
The phone is expected to arrive in December, but the tip says it won’t be available globally.
According to reports, Xiaomi is also planning to use its Xring chips in foldables. An executive also earlier suggested that moving forward, the company will produce versions of phones with and without the Xring chips. Sadly, a leaker shared that there is currently no plan to use the chips in the company’s sub-brands, such as Redmi.
