Oppo’s wide-screen foldable specs tipped

Some of the key details of Oppo’s rumored wide-screen foldable have surfaced online.

The Huawei Pura X and Pura X Max are undeniably a success in China. Following this, it is believed that several other brands, such as Oppo, are working on their own versions of such a device.

Amid the wait for the brand’s official statement, tipster Digital Chat Station has shared the details of the phone.

According to DCS, the phone will be powered by the 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip. Samsung Display (SDC) and BOE will reportedly supply the phone’s displays, which include a 7.6″ main foldable screen and a 5.5″ cover screen. It will reportedly launch in the first quarter of 2027.

According to earlier reports, Oppo could name it the Oppo Reno X, but recent speculations suggest it could join the Oppo Find N series. Yet, it could also be a different device from the Reno X model, which was earlier reported to feature a 6.39-inch display with a 21xx × 13xx-pixel resolution. Earlier rumors also said that it would offer a MediaTek Dimensity 9 series chip, a 7000mAh+ battery, and a triple-camera system with a 50MP main camera and a periscope telephoto lens.
