Tecno Pova 8 debuts with dot-matrix-like feature

The Tecno Pova 8 is now in India, starting at ₹30,000 ($315).

The new Tecno model offers some upgrades and downgrades. To start, it comes with a less impressive Dimensity 7100 chip, compared to its predecessor’s Dimensity 7300 SoC. It also still has an LCD and no longer supports wireless charging.

On a positive note, there’s a larger 8000mAh battery, and it now boasts the new dot-matrix-like feature we first saw in Nothing. Tecno calls it the Alive Matrix Display, and it can show some useful notifications.

The phone is now available in Arc White, Graphite Black, Helios Orange, and Echo Green. It comes in 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB, priced at ₹30,000 and ₹32,000, respectively, on Flipkart.
