Xiaomi 18 Pro reportedly launching globally, but not in India

A new tip echoed the alleged global launch of the Xiaomi 18 Pro. However, it has now excluded India from the claim.

The Xiaomi 18 series is expected to launch in September. In addition to some spec upgrades, the Chinese giant is rumored to be pursuing a major strategy by soon introducing Pro models internationally.

According to a report, the Xiaomi 18 Pro will be introduced in Europe, Russia, Taiwan, Türkiye, and Japan. However, India, where the Pro and Pro Max were previously expected to launch, won’t get it.

While it could be true, there is a huge indication that the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max could arrive in the Indian market. As per a report, it will be announced in India in December. This will be much earlier, unlike the launches of earlier lineups, which occurred the following year. Yet, the phone will allegedly be distributed in limited quantities.

Back on the Pro, earlier leaks claimed that it will be armed with a 2nm chip, believed to be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6. On its back, it will house a 200MP large-sensor main camera and a 200MP telephoto macro unit. It is also equipped with a huge battery with a starting capacity of 7000mAh, as well as 100W wired charging and wireless charging support.
