Consumers in India no longer have a choice but to pay more to get Vivo’s latest flagship.
That’s because the vanilla Vivo X300 appears to have been discontinued in the country. To recall, it was earlier removed from Flipkart and Amazon India. Sadly, it is now unavailable on the brand’s official online store, strengthening earlier beliefs about its exit in the Indian market.
With this, buyers would now have to opt for the pricier Vivo X300 Pro model. Unfortunately, things got worse for the lineup.
Today, the Pro variant’s listing shows it has been slapped with a steep price hike of ₹10,000 ($104), bringing the price to ₹1,19,999. It is worth noting that the device launched at ₹1,09,999, which was already higher than the ₹95,000 debut price of the Vivo X200 Pro. This translates to a current whooping ₹25,000 ($259) increase from its predecessor’s pricing.
On a positive note, the most affordable model, the Vivo X300 FE, is still available in 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB options. However, the configurations’ launch prices of ₹79,999 and ₹89,999 have now increased to ₹86,999 and ₹96,999, respectively.
