According to a tipster, the HMD Touch AI will soon be offered in several global markets.
The HMD device was first introduced in China in July. Now, the leaker account @smashx_60 says the phone will also be unveiled in markets such as Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, and more.
To recall, the handheld is a compact 4G phone with a 3.2″ touchscreen display. Despite its size, it packs a handful of AI capabilities and other features, including Alipay, WiFi, translator, Music app, parental controls, AI image recognition, hotspot, photo enhancement, and AI image generation. The phone also comes with a 2MP main camera, a 2MP selfie camera, two SIM slots, and a 1950mAh battery.
This is different from the HMD Touch 4G that the brand introduced in India last year. As the tipster notes, the AI phone will offer more capabilities, including the free Taobao AI Big Model Teen Edition, Alipay, QR Code Reader, and more.
In China, the HMD Touch AI is priced at CN¥469, which converts to $70.
