Alleged Vivo X500 Pro series model spotted during ad shooting

One of the Vivo X500 Pro series models has made a public appearance ahead of the series’ announcement next month.

The Chinese brand recently confirmed that the X500 series will arrive in September. It was also confirmed that the lineup will initially include the X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max

Ahead of their debut, Taiwanese celebrity Jay Chou was spotted filming for a smartphone advertisement. To recall, the actor was also hired by the brand to showcase the Vivo X300 Ultra, which could mean he could also be the Vivo X500 series ambassador.

The image circulating online in China shows Chou using a phone with a circular camera island. It can’t be the vanilla model, as earlier rumors said that its circular module is placed on the upper-left corner of its back panel. As such, it could be either the X500 Pro or the X500 Pro Max.

As per reports, the vanilla model will feature a 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9-series chip, a triple 50MP rear camera system, and a 6.59″ OLED. The Vivo X500 Pro and Vivo X500 Pro Max will get a 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro series chip and a triple 200MP camera setup.

Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao also earlier shared that the series will include the “Zeiss Ultra Dynamic Main Camera,” developed in collaboration between Vivo Blueprint and Sony. The 50MP 1/1.28″ BluePrint Guangyu 900 is allegedly capable of delivering the industry’s highest dynamic range of 17EV. Moreover, it is said to support 4K 240fps slow motion and 4K 120fps HDR video with direct HDR output.
