Xiaomi has released new details about the Poco F9 series, confirming its chips and launch date.
The Chinese giant shared that the Poco F9 Pro and Poco F9 Ultra will be unveiled next month. In line with this, the brand confirmed that the lineup will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V-series and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chips.
These are the same SoCs found in the Redmi K100 Pro series in China. This affirms earlier reports that the F9 Pro and F9 Ultra are rebadged versions of the K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max, respectively.
The new details shared by the phones strengthen the speculations. Nonetheless, as per earlier leaks, the Poco models will have smaller batteries than their Redmi counterparts. While the Redmi K100 Pro arrived with an 8580mAh battery, the Poco F9 Pro is reportedly coming with only a 6330mAh cell. Meanwhile, while the Redmi K100 Pro Max packs a 9070mAh battery, the Poco F9 Ultra allegedly gets only an 8050mAh cell.
