A new tip has revealed the alleged starting price of the upcoming Xiaomi 18 Fold.

The wide foldable will launch in China on September 7. Recently, the brand has started accepting pre-orders and has revealed its design, including a colorway called Nishino Red.

However, the company remains secretive about the phone’s details, including its price.

Earlier, a leak said that the phone would be priced around CN¥10,000 ($1,477). A new tip says it will be higher, with its base price possibly hitting CN¥12,000 ($1,785).

The phone is set to compete against the Huawei Pura X and Huawei Pura X Max. To recall, the latter debuted in China in 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB options, priced at CN¥11,000, CN¥12,000, CN¥13,000, and CN¥14,000, respectively.

According to earlier reports, the Xiaomi 18 Fold is powered by its in-house Xring O3 chip, and its pre-order listing confirms that it has up to 16GB of LPDDR6 memory. The Xiaomi 18 Fold is also rumored to come with a 6000mAh battery, 67W wired and 50W wireless charging, a 200MP main camera, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. In front, it sports a wide 5.38″ cover display with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. Inside, it offers a 7.58″ foldable display.
