The Vivo X500 series has one more highlight to offer: the Vivo Smart Screen.
The lineup is now in China and is set to hit the global markets soon. While it is true that the camera department is the main star of the lineup, Vivo has another surprise: the phones have support for a detachable rear display.
During the unveiling of the X500 series, Vivo also introduced the Vivo Smart Screen. This gives users the option to have a second screen on their phones, which they can conveniently remove when not in use.
According to Vivo, the 3.92″ display can be useful for taking selfies using the main camera system and remote shooting from up to 10 meters away.
This is the brand’s take on the new rear-screen trend, recently popularized again by Xiaomi with its Xiaomi 17 Pro series (and the Xiaomi 18 Pro lineup).
It is important to note, however, that the Vivo Smart Screen is sold separately at CN¥699 ($105). Sales will start on September 24.
