Vivo to rebadge V80 as X500 series model

A new clue hints that the Vivo V80 will soon be rebranded as the Vivo X500 E.

The news is not entirely a surprise, since the brand did so with the V70 and X300 E. Yet it is important to note that there were some changes to those phones, particularly in their batteries (and width) and chips.

The same could happen with the V80 and X500 E, but an earlier leak revealed that Vivo would stick with the same Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip. As for the battery, the E model is believed to come with a larger 7500mAh cell, which is 300mAh bigger than the battery in the V80.

In some listings on Amazon Italy, it is suggested that the V80 and X500 E could fit in the same protective cases, further confirming they could have the same design and dimensions (and probably specs).

If true, it is worth noting that the Vivo V80 is now available in several global markets, offering the following:

  • Snapdragon 7 Gen 4
  • LPDDR4X RAM
  • UFS 3.1 storage
  • 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 8GB/512GB
