Quite soon after the release of the Mi Band 7, Huami has already started working on a new Amazfit Band. The upcoming device will certainly be a new Amazfit Band rather than Mi Band with the BARI codename as per the leak.
A new Amazfit Band leaked with specs and picture
If the past actions of Huami with the naming of the Mi Band is any indication, the name of the upcoming device could be Amazfit Band 7. Currently, the device doesn’t have a name in the Zepp application code, but one thing is quite clear, it’s an Amazfit Band. Based on the information gathered from the application code, the screen resolution for the new Amazfit Band is 194×368. When we look at the FCCID.io, there is a new Huami smartband added a couple of days ago with the model name A2177.
Unfortunately, whether the model name on FCCID.io is the one of Bari codename in the application code or not cannot be confirmed at the moment. The only model name that is in the application code is the one for Bari NFC codename, which is A2283. In addition to “Bari” and “Bari NFC”, there is one other codename for this Amazfit Band: Bari W.
Looking back at the report from FCCID.io, if the model on this report is the same as the Huami Band in application code, the battery capacity seems to be 232mAh, which is a bit higher than Mi Band 7 packing 180mAh, and slightly higher than Redmi Smart Band Pro packing 200mAh. Checking the configuration files in the code, the password feature which had been removed after Mi Band 4 and come back with Mi Band 7 might also be available with this device. This feature allows users to lock their device with passwords that composes of six digits. It is also likely to support GPS, as found in the application code.
In conclusion, while some of the information extracted from the application code is a possibility, remember that until the official release of the device comes, anything can be changed and modified.
