New leak reveals bad news for next Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo Ultra models

A new tip suggests that Xiaomi, Vivo, and Oppo are making major changes to their plans for their next Ultra models.

Chinese smartphone brands offer Ultra models as their top-of-the-line variants in their flagship series. However, a tipster claims that this will change in the Xiaomi 18, Vivo X500, and Oppo Find X10 lineups.

According to the tip, the Xiaomi 18 Ultra has been axed, with the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max now set to be the series’ top-of-the-line product. According to reports, the Ultra model was coming with an Xring O3 variant. To recall, like the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, it was also planned to be a camera-focused smartphone.

Meanwhile, the Vivo X500 Ultra and Oppo Find X10 Ultra are reportedly not coming to global markets. Instead, the phones will be limited to China, the largest smartphone market, where the brands often experience significant success. This is a safe choice for Oppo and Vivo, especially now that the market is in the midst of a memory crisis, which is driving smartphone price increases that could deter users from upgrading their current models.
