A Xiaomi executive has affirmed expectations that the Xiaomi 18 Pro series will be priced higher than its predecessor.
The Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will go official in China on September 23. Days ahead of the event, the company has revealed some details of the phones, including their rear designs and colorways.
While promoting the series, Lu Weibing (Partner, Group President, and President of the Smartphone Department at Xiaomi Corporation) was asked by fans about the pricing. While the executive didn’t provide specifics, he said it will be pricier than the Xiaomi 17 Pro series. To recall, the Xiaomi 17 Pro starts at CN¥5699 ($851) in China.

The executive earlier claimed that the Xiaomi 18 Pro series would offer the most significant upgrade in the company’s flagship series. The executive said that this would cover the chip, camera, and battery. He also confirmed that there will be more AI features in the phones, supporting an earlier hint at the brand’s teaser about the phone’s rear displays.
The company also recently revealed that the Xiaomi 18 Pro series will offer a 2nm flagship chip (likely the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6), a Leica camera system (200MP main camera + 200MP periscope telephoto), a new-generation M11 Super Pixel panel, 0.99mm-thin bezels, and batteries with 32% silicon content (7000mAh for Pro and 8500mAh for Pro Max).
