Honor 500, Honor 500 Pro design confirmed

After earlier leaks, Honor itself has finally revealed the official design of the upcoming Honor 500 series models.

The brand has recently started teasing the series in China, but has remained mum about the details and design of the phones. This prompted tipsters to share some of the leaked images of the Honor 500, revealing its iPhone 17 Air-like design.

Now, following those leaks, Honor has finally unveiled the designs of the Honor 500 and Honor 500 Pro to its fans.

As previously shared, both models feature a horizontal, pill-shaped camera island on the back. While the vanilla variant has two circular cutouts, the Pro has an additional lens on its back.

The poster also confirms the flat design of the phones. The standard is shown in its pink and white colorway, while the Pro features its blue variant.

According to earlier reports, the Pro model will house the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. The phone is also said to feature a 6.5″ display, which will be complemented by a metal frame. Moreover, from the optical fingerprint scanner in the Honor 400 Pro, the new Pro model is said to be getting an ultrasonic sensor this time. The phone will also feature a massive 8000mAh battery, similar to its vanilla sibling, which is getting a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and a 6.55″ 1.5K 120Hz OLED. Ultimately, the Pro phone is expected to feature a 200MP 1/1.4″ main camera, allegedly paired with a 64MP OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom.

Sadly, the series is allegedly coming with a price hike. As per Digital Chat Station, “imaging, performance, battery, and peripherals” have all been improved, and each section is “using top-tier components in its class.” To this end, the account noted that there may be a possible price increase in the series. To recall, the Honor 400 starts at CN¥2499 in China for its 12GB/256GB configuration, while the base 12GB/256GB option of the Pro costs CN¥3399.
