Honor the Magic 8 series‘ Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and design.

The lineup is launching next month. Ahead of its unveiling, the company shared several details about the upcoming Honor phones. In addition to the chip, the brand affirmed earlier speculations about the significant AI integration coming in the phones’ MagicOS 10. The new AI features would cover search, gaming, and photo editing. To recall, it was earlier leaked that the phones would arrive with a dedicated AI button. Honor confirmed the new component by sharing and revealing the design of the Pro variant of the series.

As reported recently, the series will still have a circular camera island in the upper center of the back panel. Squircle rings surround the modules, but the placement of the flash unit was changed. Honor also confirmed that the Pro has a green colorway option, while a recent leak shows the vanilla model in a blue variant.

According to reports, the vanilla model will arrive with a 6.59″ OLED. It is said to be a flat 1.5K screen with LIPO technology, a 120Hz refresh rate, and less than 1mm bezels. The Honor Magic 8 Pro model, meanwhile, allegedly has a 6.7″ display with 3D face recognition and a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner support, a triple camera setup (50MP 1/1.3″ OmniVision OV50Q main camera + 50MP ultrawide + 200MP 1/1.4″  85mm periscope telephoto), a battery with a capacity of around 7000mAh, wireless charging, a Lateral OverFlow Integration Capacitor (LOFIC) technology, a smooth frame transition, and a better focus speed and dynamic range. Ultimately, it will feature 90W wired and 80W wireless charging support.
