New details about the Honor Magic V5 foldable have emerged online.
Honor is expected to update its book-style foldable this year. According to earlier reports, the company will skip the “4” moniker and directly opt for Honor Magic V5 instead.
Now, amid the wait for the smartphone, new leaks reveal and confirm some of its details.
According to its MIIT and 3C certifications, the phone will have two cells with 2070mAh and 3880mAh capacities. While this equates to 5950mAh, we believe that the phone would be marketed as a model with a 6000mAh battery. This echoes earlier rumors about the model, which could have over 6000mAh typical capacity, with tipster Digital Chat Station recently claiming that it would be around 6100mAh. This battery, according to China’s 3C, is paired with 66W charging.
DCS also revealed additional information about the handheld. According to the account, the phone is also equipped with the Beidou satellite SMS feature, allowing users to send texts even without a mobile connection. Unsurprisingly, like most foldables, the Honor Magic V5 is reportedly limited to a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
