Honor wants to underscore the significant protection enhancements it introduced for the upcoming Honor Magic V6.
Teasers for the foldable are underway, and the brand wants to immediately highlight all the upgrades it has added to the phone. In its latest marketing campaigns, the brand put the V phone to the test with YouTuber Joe Weller, who ziplined while his weight hung from the device. To recall, earlier reports noted that the phone features the Honor Super Steel Hinge. The device is also said to sport an Advanced Display Protection, which should help its internal display withstand damage and wear.
Another main highlight of the book-style handheld is its higher protection rating: IP69. To recall, its predecessor, the Honor Magic V5, only has IP58 and IP59 ratings. This means that, from the limited ingress dust rating in V5, the upcoming V6 will now offer a dust-tight (no ingress) level of protection, including protection against high-pressure, high-temperature water jets.
As per reports, the phone could also feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, a 200MP main camera, wireless charging, a 200MP main camera, a periscope telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It will be available in red, white, black, and gold. The regular model will be offered in 16GB/512GB and 12GB/256GB, while the satellite version will come in 12GB/256GB and 16GB/1TB versions.
The Honor Magic V6 will arrive in two versions (PNM-AN10 and PNM-AN20). According to its recent certifications, the standard PNM-AN10 model will house a 6850mAh battery with 80W charging. The other version will be the more premium option, offering a larger 7150mAh battery, faster 120W charging, and satellite connectivity.
The phone will launch in March alongside the Honor Robot Phone.
