Honor Robot Phone prototype showcased

The Honor Robot Phone has progressed to its prototype stage.

The brand unveiled the concept last month. Despite being a concept phone, it impressed many with the teaser materials the company shared. While some doubt that the idea will become a reality, several reports claim that the brand is actually planning to mass-produce it in the future. The company corroborated this claim this week by showcasing the physical prototypes of the phone.

The device was shown in several versions, and one of them appears to be identical to the look of the handheld in the clips shared by the company last month. While the company has yet to demonstrate the sentient-like capabilities of the phone, this development may already be a clear indication that it is indeed coming to market in the future.

The launch timeline of the Honor Robot Phone remains unknown, but it is expected to make its debut at MWC Barcelona in March 2026. The phone is equipped with a camera that unfolds from its rear island module. The materials shared by the company suggest that the AI camera can operate independently, depending on the content it is capturing. It features an omnidirectional arm, enabling it to follow subjects with ease and flexibility. Interestingly, Honor suggests that it is also AI-powered and can interact with users by making nodding motions and even work as a baby monitor and a nanny.
