Honor introducing industry’s first 10K nits display with X80 Pro Max

Honor has confirmed that the Honor X80 Pro Max will feature the first display with 10,000 nits of peak brightness.

The phone will debut in China on June 22. The brand earlier shared the phone’s official design, along with its three colorways. Now, it is back to share the details of its display.

According to the brand, the model will feature a 1.5K (2788×1280px) display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1.3mm thin bezels. The phone’s main highlight, nonetheless, is its high brightness, which can reach up to 10,000 nits. This will allow it to set a record in the market, beating current models like the Huawei Mate 80 Pro Max, which has a peak brightness of 8,000 nits.

Honor also shared that fans can expect the Hummingbird Architecture 2.0 and SGS Gold Label Five-Star rating drop resistance.

As previously reported, the Honor X80 Pro Max features a massive 11,000mAh battery. It is also confirmed to offer a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chip, 8GB/256GB configuration (other options expected), a 6.8″ flat 2788 x 1280px OLED with an in-display optical fingerprint scanner, a 50MP OIS main camera, an 8MP selfie camera, 90W charging, MagicOS 10, and IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K ratings.
