Huawei Mate 70 Air chip, specs, alleged Nov. 6 launch leak

Huawei is reportedly set to unveil the Huawei Mate 70 Air this Thursday. Ahead of the date, several details of the phone have emerged.

The Chinese giant is rumored to be one of the brands joining the Air trend, following the release of the Apple iPhone 17 Air, Nubia Air, and Motorola X70 Air. Although the company has yet to make an announcement about the phone, tipsters continue to share the phone’s specifications online.

According to Fixed Focus Digital, the thin model is likely missing the 3D face recognition feature. The account also mentioned a “single camera,” although he may be referring to the selfie unit on the display. There are also reportedly two RAM versions for the phone: 12GB and 16GB. While the first one utilizes the Kirin 9020B, the second one is allegedly designed for the Kirin 9020A.

The phone was earlier speculated to debut at the end of October. Apparently, that didn’t happen, and the latest tip says that it will instead occur on November 6. In the coming days, the tipster claimed that more details about the phone would be divulged.

According to earlier reports, the Air variant has a 6.9″ quad-curved ±1.5K display and a 50MP 1/1.3″ main camera. Earlier reports revealed that the phone has a SUP-AL90 model number, 66W charging support, three colorways (Yaojin Black, Feather White, and Golden Silver Brocade), two configurations (12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB), a Red Maple sensor, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and HarmonyOS 5.0. We also saw its design, which features a circular camera island and two selfie lenses. The phone is also said to be only 6.Xmm thick but doesn’t offer eSIM support, which is becoming popular in China. Ultimately, the phone is expected to house a 6x00mAh battery.
