The Huawei Mate 80 lineup is now available for pre-order in China. In line with this, the brand confirmed several details of the models.
The series is launching alongside the Huawei Mate X7 on November 25. To prepare for the date, the Chinese giant has now started accepting orders for the phones, including the Huawei Mate 80, Huawei Mate 80 Pro, Huawei Mate 80 Pro Max, and Huawei Mate 80 RS.
The new Mate 80 devices are expected to introduce several improvements over their predecessors, including the rumored Kirin 9030 chip, which is anticipated to deliver 20% better performance than its predecessor. The entire series will feature flat displays, 3D face recognition (a first for the vanilla model), and side-mounted fingerprint sensors. It also features a new network communication architecture, which should enable seamless connectivity with tablets and PCs.
The vanilla and Pro models are reportedly getting a trio of cameras on their backs with a periscope telephoto unit. The Pro Max and RS versions, meanwhile, allegedly feature a quad-camera setup and also boast a periscope telephoto lens. The previously reported 20GB RAM variant is exclusive to the RS model.
Interestingly, the devices also feature rear magnetic wireless charging rings, positioned just below the circular rear camera island. The devices are also expected to be offered with external magnetic cases.
