A new leak provides a more specific launch and release timeline of the anticipated Huawei Mate 80 series.
Recent leaks suggest that the lineup is coming soon. In addition to certifications, the alleged design and colors of the series models also surfaced recently. According to an earlier report, the devices could be unveiled next month. Although no date was mentioned, a new leak claims that it could be announced in mid- to late-November. Then, in December, the said series will be released.
The series is said to include the Huawei Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, Mate 80 Pro+, and Mate 80 RS models. According to leaks, the vanilla model is coming in black, white, and turquoise. Meanwhile, the Pro model is now being tested for black, white, gold, and cyan colorways. The Mate 80 Pro+ and Mate 80 RS models, on the other hand, are reportedly being considered for black, white, gold, purple, cyan, and silver options.
The Mate 80 series reportedly has better power management and reduced power consumption. This complements an earlier leak saying that the series will use the Kirin 9030 chip, which should offer 20% better performance than its predecessor. The devices’ memory has also been upgraded, and the lineup is said to offer “system-level AI analytics and services.”
In the camera department, the series will offer a variable aperture, upgraded zoom and flash, and a color temperature sensor. As per reports, the vanilla and Pro models will employ 50MP 1/1.5″ and 50MP 1/1.3″ main cameras. The Pro+ and RS models, on the other hand, are rumored to come with a 50MP 1/1.3″ SmartSens 590 sensor.
