Huawei Pura 80 Pro, Pura 80 Pro+ reservations start; Device design revealed ahead of debut

Huawei revealed the design of the Huawei Pura 80 Pro+ this week. The company has also started accepting reservations for the said model and its Pro sibling.

The Huawei Pura 80 series will debut on June 11 in China. As the day nears, the Chinese giant has revealed one more detail about the lineup: the design of the Pro+ variant.

The phone comes in a Glazed Red colorway and boasts the same triangular camera island design as the earlier Pura 70 series. However, it is noticeable that the device has an improved camera system based on the number of lenses.

This is not surprising since earlier rumors claimed that Huawei would introduce huge improvements in the new Pura series. According to reports, the vanilla variant has a 50MP 1″ main camera with a variable aperture, a 50MP 1/1.3″ secondary lens with a dual focal length, a 40MP ultrawide, and a 2MP color sensor.

The higher variants, meanwhile, are said to offer better camera systems, including Huawei’s new in-house lenses, the SC5A0CS and SC590XS. The new Ultra model is allegedly armed with a 50MP 1″ main camera paired with a 50MP ultrawide unit and a large periscope with a 1/1.3″ sensor. The system also allegedly implements a variable aperture for the main camera. The Huawei Pura 80 Pro model is also expected to use Huawei’s new lens. The phone is allegedly coming with a SmartSens 50MP 1″ SC5A0CS for its main camera.

Both the Pura 80 Pro and Pura 80 Pro+ are now available for reservations in China. The former is expected to arrive in Glaze White, Glaze Black, and Glaze Gold options. The Pro+, on the other hand, is coming in Glazed Black, Glazed Gold, Glazed White, Glazed Red, and Glazed Green colors.
