Huawei to bump up Enjoy 90X Premium to Nova 16 SE; Design, specs, launch date tipped

According to a new tip, Huawei will upgrade the Enjoy 90X Premium Edition to the Huawei Nova 16 SE.

The ongoing memory crisis in the smartphone industry is driving all brands to raise device prices. According to a tipster, Huawei is taking a different approach for its Enjoy 90X Premium. Instead of presenting it as it is, the Chinese giant is allegedly rebranding it as the Nova 16 SE to justify the price hike. According to the tip, the device will start at CN¥2,000 ($296) in China.

As part of the “upgrade,” the Nova 16 series device is reportedly coming with a Kirin 8020 processor and the first-generation Red Maple imaging system. It is expected to arrive on August 5, since the company will have its launch event on that date for its flagship MPV and all-scenario new products.

Meanwhile, tipster Digital Chat Station shared that the Huawei Nova 16 SE will also offer a flat 1.5K LTPS OLED, a 50MP main camera, and an 8500mAh battery. The phone will reportedly feature a gradient design option. As per DCS, it will have a design similar to that of the Honor Power 2, thanks to its huge horizontal rectangular module.
