The Xiaomi Mix Fold 5 has been spotted in the wild running on HyperOS 4.
The Xiaomi foldable is coming soon, and it is rumored to arrive as early as August. This timeline affirms that it will use Xiaomi’s in-house Xring O3 chip, instead of the Snapdragon Elite Gen 6, which will debut a bit later.
Ahead of its arrival, the alleged handheld was pictured. While the images do not confirm its name, the partially blurred details reveal the “lhasa” codename, the internal identification for the Mix Fold 5.
Also, the phone’s wallpaper is similar to the theme in the current HyperOS version. Speaking of the system, the image also confirms that the phone runs on HyperOS 4.0, which is based on Android 17.
Some of the details expected from the phone include a 7.5 to 7.6-inch display, a 200MP main camera, a 6000mAh battery, wireless charging support, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and Xring O3.
Sadly, according to the latest claim from Digital Chat Station, it will be priced higher when it arrives. It will be priced around CN¥10,000 ($1,477) in China. To recall, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 launched at CN¥8,999 ($1,329).
