After earlier speculations, a brand official shared that the upcoming iQOO 15 model will indeed house a periscope telephoto unit.
Vivo has been teasing the iQOO model in China in the past few days. The brand also confirmed its arrival in India soon. Prior to that, the company shared its design details, which include an LED camera island. Now, an iQOO product manager said that aside from its design, the phone will impress with its camera as well.
Unlike the iQOO 13, which only has a 50MP telephoto (1/2.93″) with 2x zoom, the iQOO 15 is said to be coming with a periscope unit instead. Sadly, no details about the lens were shared.
According to reports, the iQOO model could also experience a price hike due to the upgrades the brand is introducing, one of which includes the periscope. Moreover, the phone is said to feature the “most expensive” 2K Samsung flat display, which has “a hardware quality comparable to the iPhone 17 Pro Max’s.” The phone is also expected to arrive with wireless charging support. Other rumored specs of the iQOO model include a 16GB max RAM option, a 1TB max storage option, a 50MP 1/1.5″ main camera, a 7000mAh battery, 100W charging, and dual speakers.
