iQOO 15 Ultra’s OIS-supported zoom capability teased

Vivo has underscored the iQOO 15 Ultra’s powerful camera system in its latest teasers.

The brand continues to build hype around the upcoming iQOO smartphone ahead of its arrival. After sharing details about its gaming features and design, the company has now begun detailing the phone’s camera features. According to iQOO, one of its main highlights will be its 50MP Sony periscope telephoto camera with CIPA 4.5 optical image stabilization and 3x optical zoom. It will also support several capabilities, including NICE 3.0 Optical Reconstruction Engine and Magic 2.0 Image Restoration Engine.

The news follows the brand’s earlier revelations about the phone, such as its in-house Q3 gaming chip, which will enable 2K native upscaling, 120fps interpolation, and full-scenario max ray tracing. The component is said to be complemented by the Ice Dome Air Cooling System, which will offer an effective active cooling solution. It is also armed with anti-sweat touch-sensitive shoulder triggers with haptic feedback and a 600Hz sampling rate. The phone is also expected to house a cooling fan system placed next to its camera island. It is rumored to measure 17mm in diameter and 4mm in thickness.

In addition to a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, the handheld is confirmed to sport a Samsung M14 2K 144Hz LTPO OLED with 8000nits peak brightness. Other details expected from the phone include a triple 50MP camera setup, a 7000mAh+ battery, and support for 200W wired and wireless charging. The device will be offered in 2077 Streamer Orange and 2049 Cold Blue colors.
