Live Huawei Mate 80 series units surface

Live units of the Huawei Mate 80 series models have leaked online, revealing their design and two of their colorways.

The series is coming soon in China. According to past reports, the brand could introduce the lineup next month. The series is said to include the Huawei Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, Mate 80 Pro+, and Mate 80 RS models.

Days earlier, the back panel component of the series emerged, confirming reports that it has a circular camera island design. Now, new leaks show the actual live units of the series, giving us a closer look at its camera module design. According to the images, the island has three huge lens cutouts arranged in a triangular position, with the periscope telephoto placed at the top. As per reports, the vanilla and Pro models will employ 50MP 1/1.5″ and 50MP 1/1.3″ main cameras. The Pro+ and RS models, on the other hand, are rumored to come with a 50MP 1/1.3″ SmartSens 590 sensor.

The photos also confirm that the series has a curved back panel and is available in black, white, and yellow.

According to earlier tips, the series will use the Kirin 9030 chip, which should offer 20% better performance than its predecessor. The models are also expected to offer eSIM support in China, and their batteries are rumored to start at 6000mAh. The main highlight of the series is its alleged unique design, wherein Huawei is reportedly planning to include a waterproof cooling fan in the circular camera island.
