Motorola has officially embraced AI. In its recent tease for the Moto X50 Ultra, Motorola revealed that the new model will be equipped with AI capabilities.
Prior to the official commencement of the Formula 1 – 2024 Season in Bahrain, Motorola shared a teaser for the Moto X50 Ultra. The short clip shows the device complemented by some scenes featuring the F1 race car the company is sponsoring, suggesting the smartphone will be “Ultra” fast. This, nonetheless, is not the highlight of the video.
According to the clip, the X50 Ultra will be armed with AI features. The company has been branding the 5G model as an AI smartphone, although the specifics of the feature remain unknown. Nonetheless, it will likely be a generative AI feature, allowing it to compete with Samsung Galaxy S24, which already offers it.
Aside from this, the clip has unveiled some details of the model, including its curved back panel, which seems to be covered with vegan leather to make the unit feel lighter. Meanwhile, the rear camera of the X50 Ultra appears to be situated on the top left side of the device. According to earlier reports, its camera system will be composed of a 50MP main, 48MP ultrawide, 12MP telephoto, and 8MP periscope.
As for its internals, details remain murky, but the device is likely getting either the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which can handle AI works, thanks to their ability to run large language models natively. It is reportedly also getting 8GB or 12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB for storage.
Aside from those things, X50 Ultra will reportedly be powered with a 4500mAh battery, complete with a fast 125W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Earlier reports claim that the smartphone could measure 164 x 76 x 8.8mm and weigh 215g, with the AMOLED FHD+ display measuring 6.7 to 6.8 inches and boasting a 120Hz refresh rate.
