Reputable leaker Digital Chat Station dismissed earlier rumors about the Xiaomi Mix 5.
Months ago, we heard about the development of the next Mix model. The phone was spotted with the model number Q5 and codename “hongkong.”
The reports sparked speculation that the device could be the Mix 5, but DCS says otherwise. The tipster underscores in a post that there is no Mix 5 in development, and claims that it is instead linked to the Xiaomi 18 series.
According to earlier reports, the rumored Mix 5 was supposed to feature a full-screen design with an under-display selfie unit, a magnetic rear camera lens system, and a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chip. As such, if there really is no Mix 5, it could mean the features will be used for the Xiaomi 18 series instead.
