OnePlus 15 bypass charging now supports other tasks globally

OnePlus has started rolling out a new update, enabling the OnePlus 15 to expand its bypass charging support to other activities globally.

Several brands have introduced bypass charging to several models in the past few months. To recall, the capability allows supported devices to draw power directly from a source using a charger when gaming. Now, the OnePlus 15 can finally utilize its bypass charging even during live streaming, video watching, navigation, and other high-load tasks. With new support, users can further protect their battery and prevent overheating, even when they are using and charging it simultaneously. The same capability is expected to arrive in Oppo models soon.

The change comes in the new OxygenOS 16.0.2.401 (CPH2745_16.0.2.401 in India and CPH2747_16.0.2.401 globally) update, which is now being rolled out in India, Europe, and other global markets. According to the brand, this is an incremental rollout that includes other additions, such as the Neon filter in the Camera app, the Motion Photo filter in the Photos app, and the December 2025 Android security patch.
