The OnePlus 16 finally has a launch date.
Following an earlier teaser, the brand has now confirmed that the OnePlus 16 will go official on October 12. The company also affirms expectations that the phone is designed to be a game-focused device.
According to the company, it can deliver native 185fps games to handle its maximum frame rate for extended periods. Some of these titles include the Peace Elite, Arena Breakout, Nizhan: Future, and Naruto Mobile.
In addition to the 185Hz display, the phone is also said to have a self-developed three-chip esports system that manages touch response, networking, and display processing.
The phone is also said to be coming with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip, a 200MP 1/1.4” main camera with an f/1.6 aperture, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide camera with a 116-degree field of view. In front, it features a 50MP selfie camera.
According to earlier reports, the OnePlus 16 also has a 9000mAh battery, 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, and Android 17-based ColorOS 17.
