OnePlus Ace 6 design revealed ahead of debut

OnePlus showcased the design of the OnePlus Ace 6 before its official unveiling on October 27.

OnePlus China President Li Jie shared a poster confirming the launch date of the OnePlus 15 and the said Ace model this month. The material also shows the design of both models. While we already know what the OnePlus 15 looks like, it is the first time the company has shared the official design of the Ace 6.

The phone has the same look as the OnePlus 15, thanks to its flat side frames and back panel. It also has a slightly similar camera island to the said model, but the Ace 6’s module is more like a vertical rectangular island with extremely rounded corners. Also, it only has two rear lenses. The material also shows that it has a distinctive striped design for the back panel with a huge Ace print on it.

The news follows an earlier leak saying that the Ace 6 Pro was canceled. To boost the vanilla model’s name in the market, Li Jie claimed that the device “is the most powerful Ace yet” and “outshines its competitors, rivaling all Pro and Pro Max models.”

According to earlier reports, the upcoming Ace 6 model is available in 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB. Its colorways reportedly include Black, Quick Silver, and Flash White. It is also said to be coming with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip instead of the earlier rumored Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip. It also allegedly houses a huge 7800mAh cell with 120W charging support. Despite the huge battery, the tip says that it only weighs 214g. Other details we expect from the device include a 6.83″ flat 165Hz 1.5K OLED with an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor and an IP68 rating.
