OnePlus has finally responded to reports that it is leaving the Indian market.
According to earlier reports, a massive corporate restructure is happening involving Oppo and OnePlus. In line with this, Oppo plans to gradually phase out OnePlus in markets such as Europe and the US due to weak sales amid intense market competition. Most recently, a Bloomberg report says that OnePlus will also be phased out in India.
However, the brand has urged fans not to believe the speculations through a recent statement:
“OnePlus India continues to operate its business as usual, with all local operations on track,” OnePlus shared. “We urge the media to exercise restraint before amplifying unverified speculation”
While this should soothe fans’ concerns about the brand’s business in India this year, it still doesn’t directly address reports of its alleged departure from the country in 2027.
