Oppo Find X8 Ultra’s camera island layout leak shows dual-tone, dual-tier design

The alleged camera module design of the Oppo Find X8 Ultra has leaked, and it will offer a dual-tone and dual-tier appearance.

The Oppo Find X8 Ultra is now being prepared, and rumors claim it could be announced in the first quarter or the second half of the year. Now, after the scarcity of its appearance leaks, we finally have the first tip about its camera module.

According to a leaker on Weibo, the handheld has a circular camera island on its back. However, it will have a dual-tone design. The account also noted that it would have a dual-tier construction, meaning that some portion of the module would protrude more than the rest.

The layout also shows the camera island cutouts, which are placed in a circular arrangement. The huge cutout at the top center could be its rumored 50MP Sony IMX882 6x zoom periscope telephoto. Below could be the 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera unit and a 50MP Sony IMX906 3x zoom periscope telephoto camera, placed on the left and right sections, respectively. On the bottom part of the module could be the 50MP Sony IMX882 ultrawide unit. There are also two smaller cutouts inside the island, and it could be the phone’s autofocus laser and multispectral units. The flash unit, on the other hand, is placed outside the module.
