In addition to the standard Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro, Oppo is also rumored to launch the Oppo Reno 12 F in the global markets. Interestingly, according to recent leaks, the model will come in 4G and 5G variants.
The Oppo Reno 12 series was launched in May in China, but the company recently confirmed its plan to offer the lineup in the global markets soon. However, it seems that in addition to the Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro, the series will also include the Reno 12 F.
Recently, the model was spotted in various certifications and platforms, including the FCC, TDRA, BIS, EEC, and Camera FV 5. At that time, we were only expecting one variant for the model, but according to a leaker, the Oppo Reno 12 F will be available in 4G and 5G options.
According to a tipster who shared the information on X, the 4G and 5G versions of the Oppo Reno 12 F will be launched globally alongside the Oppo Reno 12 and Oppo Reno 12 Pro. Both variants are said to come with a 50MP OV50D/8MP/2MP rear camera system, a 32MP IMX615 selfie camera, and an LED ring flash.
Aside from their connectivity, the main difference between the two will be the SoC. According to the leak, the 4G variant will have the Snapdragon 680, while the 5G option will employ the Dimensity 6300 chips. Also, the 5G version is said to be getting NFC support, while the other one won’t.
With these differences, the tipster said that the Oppo Reno 12 F 4G will be offered “no less than $300” in the Southeast Asian market. The price of the 5G variant, however, remains unknown.
