A leaker says that Oppo is “considering” including a Pro Max model in the Reno 16 series.
According to a claim made by well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, it will be a huge Oppo model with a 6.78″ display. It reportedly has a flat LTPO screen with 1.5K resolution.
The account also mentioned a MediaTek Dimensity “N-1” chip. The exact processor name was not revealed, but it could fall within the Dimensity 9400 segment.
The phone’s camera department might also offer impressive power. As per DCS, it will house a 200MP main camera, alongside a 50MP periscope telephoto.
DCS also teased “core upgrades,” suggesting it might offer improvements over the top-of-the-line model in the Oppo Reno 15 series. To recall, it was the Oppo Reno 15 Pro, which arrived with a MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chip, up to a 16GB/1TB configuration, a 6.78″ 2772 × 1272px 120Hz AMOLED, a 200MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP telephoto with 3.5x optical zoom and OIS, and a 6500mAh battery.
The tipster also revealed that the series will see a price increase, suggesting the Oppo Reno 16 Pro Max could be pricier than the Reno 15 Pro. To recall, the latter was launched with a base price of CN¥3,699/$520.
