OPPO Reno 8 to launch soon with Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC

We have earlier mentioned in the post that OnePlus is gearing up to launch a smartphone with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 powered smartphone, which will be the rebranded version of Oppo Reno 8. The leaks and rumours regarding the Oppo Reno 8 are already hovering online for the last few weeks, hinting at an imminent launch. A new leak regarding the Reno 8 has appeared online which tips the specifications of the device.

Oppo Reno 8 leaked once again with Snapdragon 7 series SoC!

The Oppo Reno 8 is expected to launch officially by next month, June 2022. The smartphone is expectd to be powered by Snapdrgaon 7 Gen 1 chipset, which will be an upgrade over the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G. The Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 will be based on 4nm farication node, unlike the 6nm fabrication node that we saw on Snapdragon 778G. The processor will also come with upgraded 4X ARM Cortex A710 performance cores and 4X ARM Cortex A510 power efficiency cores. The graphic intesive tasks will be handled by Adreno 662 chipset.

The device is also rumoured to flaunt a 6.55-inches FHD+ resolution screen with 120Hz high refresh rate support. It may have a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixels primary sensor, 8-megapixels ultrawide and 2-megaixels depth sensor. It will have a 32-megapixels front selfie snapper housed in punch hole cutout. It has been further said that it will be bakced by a 4500mAh battery wih support for 80W fast wired charging. It is also expected to boot up on latest Android 12 based ColorOS 12 out of the box.

The device was spotted on the Chinese quality certification, a few days back, with the model number PGAM10. The following speficiations are also mentioned there. So, it is expected that the smartphone will land with the similar specificatios and no major changes been done. The certification reveals that it will have Sony IMX766 primary camera.
