The POCO F4 is on its way, despite already being released in China under the Redmi brand as it’s counterpart, the Redmi K40S, but the global market is still waiting for the device to be released under the POCO brand. However, Xiaomi being one step ahead of everyone, decided to release the POCO F4 firmware before actually announcing the device. Let’s take a look.
POCO F4 firmware released before launch – details & more
The POCO F4 has yet to be released, but as we mentioned before, it’s already on sale in China under the Redmi brand as the Redmi K40S. So, the specs of the POCO F4 will most likely be the exact same as the Redmi K40S. But, today Xiaomi finished the testing process of the POCO F4’s firmware. The information was posted on Mi Fans Home’s Telegram page, but was quickly deleted.
Keep in mind that despite the Telegram posts saying that it’s for the Redmi K40S, since it’s for Global, EEA and India, it’s for the POCO F4 due to the POCO F4 being a rebrand of the Redmi K40S. The POCO F4 will most likely be released soon enough, as the MIUI releases being out of the testing phase means we’re getting closer to the actual release date of the device.
The POCO F4 MIUI ROM will be released for Global, Taiwan, Indonesia, Turkey, EEA, India, and Russia. The version numbers for EEA and India will respectively be “V13.0.1.0.SLMEUXM” and “V13.0.2.0.SLMINXM“. The Redmi K40S, which is the China variant of POCO F4 features a Snapdragon 870, and OLED 120Hz panel, and more, so expect those in the POCO F4.
Keep in mind that this device is basically a POCO F3 with slight changes, like OIS and 67W fast charging, and will come out of the box with Android 12.
