Xiaomi 13 series was finally completed with the best of the series, Xiaomi 13 Ultra and a user on Weibo (Chinese social media platform) asked Lei Jun if there will be a more compact phone than Xiaomi 13.
Xiaomi 13 – The most compact phone of Xiaomi 13 series
Xiaomi 13 series features three different phones, Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro, and Xiaomi 13 Ultra. Xiaomi 13, with its 6.36-inch display, stands out as with the smallest display and most compact design among the series.
Lei Jun has stated that he doesn’t believe in a smaller phone would not have good sale rates. He believes that the time and resources spent on developing a flagship device with a smaller form factor would only matter for a minor audience. Lei Jun considers the size of Xiaomi 13 is the perfect. Despite Lei Jun’s anticipation of lower sales for a smaller phone, it’s worth noting that both the Galaxy S23 and iPhone 14 are currently available with a smaller and lighter form factor than Xiaomi 13, featuring a 6.1-inch display.
It appears that Xiaomi is unlikely to launch a smaller phone than Xiaomi 13. It’s possible that the base model of Xiaomi 14 could also feature a large display but nothing is certain yet.
