Realme has published a press release revealing some information about the camera system of the Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro+.
The Realme 16 Pro series will be officially unveiled globally and in India on January 6. Days ahead of the debut, the brand confirmed that both models feature a 200MP main camera, which uses the 1/1.56″ Samsung HP5 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. The company says that the camera has 1x and 2x lossless zoom.
The Pro+ model, as expected, will be more powerful, thanks to its additional telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom. According to the company, it relies on the Samsung JN5 sensor. There’s also an ultrawide with 0.6x to 120x focal length shooting support.
Another addition to the Pro+ variant is the LumaColor Image technology, which the brand claims to have advanced innovations, including “full-dimensional skin tone optimization, optical depth-of-field fusion blur, and person-scene lighting and shadow reconstruction.”
In addition to HyperRAW, InstantSnap, and Anti-Distortion, the press release shows that the Pro+ model also supports 4K HDR (1x, 2x, 3.5x, and 7x) and 4K@60fps (1x and 3.5x) video recording on its main camera system. In front, it is also capable of 4K recording at 60fps.
According to earlier reports, the Pro+ model will feature a Snapdragon that can outperform the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 in the Realme 15 Pro. The brand also earlier teased the lineup’s periscope unit, which is not present in the Realme 15 series.
The Pro model will be available in 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB options. It is also reportedly equipped with a 6.78″ 1.5K 144Hz OLED display, an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor, a 200MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 50MP selfie camera, and a 6830mAh rated battery capacity.
In addition to its Master Gold and Master Grey colorways, the Realme 16 Pro will also be offered in India-exclusive Camellia Pink and Orchid Purple shades. The Pro+ model, on the other hand, is expected to be available in three options: Master Grey, Master Gold, and Camellia Pink.
