Realme rolled out a new update to the Realme GT 5 Pro, allowing it to support bypass charging.
To recall, the brand first unveiled the feature in its Realme GT 7 Pro Racing Edition, and it was later introduced to the Realme GT 7 Pro and Realme Neo 7. Now, the latest model to have this capability is the GT 5 Pro.
The brand released the 15.0.0.840 update to the handheld. With the new update, the model should be able to draw power from a power source during extended use, allowing it to have a longer battery life in the long run.
Aside from the bypass charging, the update also includes other additions, such as the Android July 2025 security patch and other optimizations. Sadly, the Realme GT 5 Pro is exclusive to China, but earlier reports suggested that Realme is planning to introduce bypass charging to more of its models in the future.
